My research is focused on the bacterial metallothionein, PmtA, in Pseudomonas aeruginosa.  I am interested in its role as a virulence factor and how it modulates the innate immunity.  Another project I am currently working on involves SPR and SPCE-base pathogen biosensor detection in polymicrobial infections.
